The first emergence of the Emperior tulip bulbs could be seen today in the most sunny location of the garden where they were planted. Four 1/2 inch red leafed plant parts could be seen where the snow had melted away from the planting site. Much of the ground in and around the Ellis school planting site is still covered with ice and snow.
