Tulips EMERGED

Date: 03/09/2009

Number: 1

We had snow a week ago, March 2, 18 degrees all week and 73 degrees over the weekend! What spring weather! Our tulips have emerged, about 7 of our 125 planted. They are greenish, redish, brownish and are about 2" above the ground.

The entire second grade is very excited. Everyone wants to go and see the garden. There are other bulbs sprouting but our tulips are distinctive in their color.

We wonder when they will bloom. We also wonder whether our deer will eat them because we have lots of hungry deer living around the school yard.
