We live on Smith Lake Alabama and the bald eagle landed in a pine tree overlooking the lake and stayed one hour. He did not let the local black birds scare him off even though they tried thier best. Even a squirrel shared the branch with him and he did not react. He was a site to see, the first sighting for us and we have lived here ll years. We now have a very large nest in that tree and we have not spotted the owner. We can't wait to find out what type bird built this large nest.
