Heard one and spotted it at 8:30 am near the top of a tree in my backyard. My location is about 2 blocks NE of the mouth of the Fox River where it enters Lake Winnebago. Light drizzle was coming down- with at least 4 inches of snow cover on the ground. Blackbirds have nested in our lilac bushes for over the last 25 years, as most of the marsh has been lost to development.
