It was not a fresh specimen. Looked a bit faded, but wings undamaged. Saw several more in late Feb & early March near Kingwood (far NE Houston suburb)and in San Jacinto County near Big Creek scenic Area (closest town: Coldspring, TX). Did not observe any tags.
