Hurray! Our tulips have finally emerged. We had 70° Fahrenheit temperatures over the weekend, quite a change from 30° Fahrenheit temperatures last week. The ground temperature went from 2.1° Celsius to 8.0° Celsius in one week. We planted 200 bulbs and 107 have emerged. We noticed the tips of the leaves are red when they emerge. Now we are wondering when our tulips will bloom! Our second grade students noticed that some of their bulbs, which aren't Red Emperor Tulips, emerged yesterday, too.
