All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 03/11/2009

Number: 1

This afternoon I noticed a bluebird flying across a road and toward some trees in New Paltz, NY. I believe that I also saw one flying in the same vicinity last week. I am aware that bluebirds do sometimes migrate away from very cold locations during the winter, however, I do not know if they migrate away from this part of the Hudson River valley or if they over-winter. I do not recall seeing any this winter but I do not have a bird feeder to attract birds.
