Finally another Monarch in Austin. As stated earlier, saw three in five minutes on Friday, then nothing until this afternoon. Nice looking lady monarch in good condition nectaring on Mexican Plum at my way station (917). Thank goodness for deep rooted flowering trees. Golden Lead Ball in bloom as well.
There are wild flowers in Austin! Bluebonnets and Orange Indian Paintbrush in the medians along loop 360 between Loop 1 and rr2244.
Short, but taller than the drought starved grasses.
Forecast for three days of rain......HA! Won't believe till my hair is wet.
Bon Voyage to the class of 09. Live long and prosper, or at least lay lots of eggs!
