first a couple showed up about one week ago, this past week the flocks are increasing, today Mar.12/09 the flocks are huge in my backyard hiding out in the pine trees, very noisy, seem to be rotating in groups to eat around the bird feeder, which is now empty because no other birds appear to show up when the masses of red wings are here, except for the odd chickadee and a couple of downy woodpeckers
