It was the same day I heard what must have been over a hundred Canada Geese on the way north (I have lived under a migration path for over 20 years and they time the last snow and the first snow with incredible precision.)
It was also the same day I noticed a male Goldfinch previously in his melting roadside snowbank colored winter attire into his yellow spring suit.
But I saw the robin first, flying to and then just hopping across a neighbors lawn.
