Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 03/19/2009

Number: 1

Today the temperature was 53 degrees F. We found 107 of our 120 tulips have emerged. We had 8 red emperors that have bloomed! It was a great surprise. Another 24 of our tulips have red tips. They’re on their way! We have 3/4 of our tulips that have either bloomed and/or emerged. Our microclimate bulbs are emerging too! The only microclimate that has bloomed is the tulips we planted in the clay pot and grew in our classroom. The tulip on our naturetrail, in the woods, on the east and west sides of the building and by our classroom air conditioner have all emerged. They range in size from 1.5-8.5 cm tall. None have bloomed yet. This must mean that spring is here!
