Today is the first day of Spring! The temperature was 61 degrees F and the skies were bright and sunny. Sunrise was at 7:36 am and sunset will be at 7:45 pm, giving us 12 hours and 9 minutes of daylight. That is one hour more of daylight than last month! We saw fall colors, which were really buds on a tree. The tulip poplar have green buds, the hears-a-bursting have little leaves, the grass is a lot greener than we’ve seen, and wild onions are growing everywhere. The beech trees still have the fall leaves, but buds are starting to appear. The dogwoods are getting ready to bloom. We saw earthworms, termites, a yellow butterfly, 2 blue butterflies, and ants. Spring is really here!
