Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 03/20/2009

Number: 1

This morning at around 8:00AM I saw 30-40 robins hopping around the big open grassy area beyond the back yard. Groups would glide a few feet, land, peck at the grass, then fly over a few feet to another area and do the same thing. It had lightly snowed two hours earlier, but most of the wet snow had already melted. Maybe some bugs or worms had moved up onto the soil? They were eagerly interested in whatever it was.
