For anyone who keeps track of such movements we had our first small flock of redwinged blackbirds arrive at the Hilliardton marsh north of New Liskeard March 18th as well ringed billed gulls showed up on the 17th. We celebrated the arrival of the redwings by banding 160 common redpolls and 5 hoary redpolls. Winter is still clinging on in the north.
