Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/22/2009

Number: 1

Sunday, March 22, 2009, two large Monarch butterflies were sighted flying around the Bronte school pond in the afternoon around 3:00 p.m. The wind has been blowing from the south all day. We have a small front causing some wind shifts in this area. This is my first sighting this spring. I am going to check on their normal roost in the northeast part of town on the Kickapoo Creek under some huge pecan trees.
