Walden pond officially iced out this morning March 23rd. It was a cold and snowy winter in this part of Massachusetts this past year. It got cold and started snowing in December. It seemed that we had a plowable snowfall every week. It was a good winter for snow shoeing and cross country skiing at Walden.
