We're just back from spring break and have been greeted by tulip leaves emerging! They are joined by emerging daffodils and hyacinths, as well as some blossoming crocuses. Students are eager to get out and clear some debris from last year's garden in preparation for this year's perennials. We added sculptures made by k-6 students to our gardens last fall, so we've had something to enjoy viewing all winter. Planning around the new structures will be a challenge to this year's gardeners, but the enthusiasm brought by the emerging tulips will help get them started on their landscape/garden plans.
