When we went out to check the soil temperature (43°), we found that vandals had removed all of our marker stakes and taken down most of the fencing. Fortunately the garden surface was unharmed. After we removed some windblown leaves and the squirrel-guard chicken wire, we were delighted to see a few reddish tips beginning to show. The tallest was 4cm.
