All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 03/27/2009

Number: 1

It was about 3:15 this afternoon when I became aware of a few, then dozens, then what must have been hundreds, of butterflies (Painted Ladies) swarming across Olive Lane, where I live. Several of us came out in the seet just to marvel at the sight. They flew from an ESE direction to WNW scooting between and over the houses and onwards at about 10 to 15 miles an hour. The swarm must have last over 30 minutes before it passed.
