Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 03/27/2009

Number: 1

I saw a flock in the sky that I figured was waxwings. It appeared to be about a hundred birds. It split into two with some going north and some going west. When I started to think "Oh, I bet those are robins, not waxwings," I turned around and there was a bright, beautiful juvenile male on the fence behind me. Up to this point, April 1st was the earliest I've ever seen a robin in Edmonton.
