Starting yesterday, I noticed a consistent trickle of Painted Ladies flying by our home. Today, it is nearly a continuous stream. We live in a corner unit on the fourth floor of an apt. building in Palo Alto, CA. My son, daughter and I just counted 97 butterflies in a 4 minute span flying across our courtyard. It is amazing and beautiful.

An update: at 4:45 pm the numbers have increased dramatically. Now there are to many to count. Wonderful!
