We first noticed the butterflies (Painted Ladies) on Sunday, March 29, 2009. Taking the kids to school Monday morning we noticed butterflies everywhere. My ever-observant 13 year old daughter observed they were all flying in the same direction (south to north). They are impossible to count, there are so many.
