Our first blooms have really taken a beating. They haven't made a long stem. The edges of the petals are frayed and bleached out. They seem to be hiding from the cold and snow down in the protection of the leaves. I hope the rest of the bulbs are holding off for better weather. In spite of their struggle it is still a joy to see them.
