Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/02/2009

Number: 1

Our tulips are so beautiful! We have them at all stages this week depending on the location and protection from the elements. The Science Department sold tulips as a money making project and gave some to each of our elementary schools in our school division for the students to study. The high school students were asked to make a promise not to use drugs when the tulips were planted. Now that they are blooming, this is meant to be a reminder that they need to continue to keep their promise. We teamed up with the Horticulture classes and the Resource Officer to make sure this project was completed. Our campus is gorgeous at this time and the biology classes have had an opportunity to study the plants. We are going to make voicethreads like our sister school, Benjamin Franklin Middle School.
