Our 4th grade planted 25 tulip bulbs in our garden in late October. Finally, in late March 17 emerged. Now, April 3, 2009, we have 18 out of our 25 emerged. The weather here in Kansas has been tricky and very unusual for this time of the year, so our tulips have not bloomed yet. The precipitation has been a bit above average for the month of March. We are checking our tulip bed daily now waiting for the first tulip to bloom!
