My daughter had an empty flower pot sitting on a corner shelf on her back porch next to the back door. This empty flower pot, not very large, apparently attracted a male house wren who wooed his bride to the location. The nest is built vertically inside this pot and she has five eggs in there. We are out on that porch quite a lot and the mama bird has built the courage to tend to her nest in spite of our interference. Expect eggs to hatch sometime next week and we can't wait to see those babies!! I will try to follow up with photos of the nest later. Simply fascinating to watch Mother Nature in action!
