I am patiencely waiting for the arrival of the hummingbirds but haven't seen any this year. I have however seen chipmunks woodshucks mesquitoes flies a pair of chicken hawks with 6 babies soaring over head 04/02/09. I aslo am priviledged to have a pair of nesting morning doves in a pine tree just off my front portch in a pine tree. I have also seen blue jays, cardinals serveral chick a dees woodpecker bees my tulips are about 1 to 2 inches out of the ground and many trees are starting to bud out.Probably some other things I may be forgetting.I have seen these signs of springs for about three weeks now. I am hoping to get pictures of the baby doves if possible. The female male is not moving off the nest at all the male is bringing her nesting materials serveral times through out the day.He makes a signing type noise every time he leaves and returns to the nest (very cool)
