I saw my first Ruby-throated hummingbird at about 5:20pm. The day was sunny and in the high 70s. The hummer was feeding from one of my Autumn Sage shrubs. The strong winds were making it quite a challenge. I was unable to get close enough to tell if my visitor was male or female.
