First Rufous sighting of the season. Female nectaring on fucshia flowered currant at 7:48 this morning on a bright but cool day at 6 degrees celcius. location east Vancouver near P.N.E. Even with the unseasonably cool weather, this siting is nine days earlier than my male rufous on the 16th last year.
