great April fool trick- my friend the great blue heron has returned to the pond and is checking out the dead elm to see if it will be his home for the season... and I saw my very first vulture soaring over highway 7 just near the east entrance to Madoc... yahoo!! a sure sign of spring. the weather is not looking too great for the next few days - rain and some snow predicted.. the buckets are still on the trees and the sap is running slower - there are moths in some of the buckets! I have 2 pairs of phoebes now - one at the front of the house and one out by the chicken coop! bonus!! happy april everyone!
