Cayden and Maura were the first students to see their tulips emerge. Maybe the location caused their tulips to emerge before the other tulips. The location around the flagpole was not a good location because people stepped on the tulips. The tulips by the concrete sidewalk were good because people walked on the sidewalk instead of the tulips. A weed was growing where Rachel planted her tulip. Alex thinks that some salt which was used to treat the driveway after a snowstorm might have gotten in the soil so her tulip did not grow. Andrea thinks her tulip was planted in a good location because it was right by the sidewalk. Hope's tulip was planted by the curb. Maybe some tulips were too close to the flagpole.
