Hello from Albany, Oregon! Our 1st tulip bloomed on April 7! Hazaa! Congratulations to Kenzie and her tulip! It took 86 days for our 1st tulip to bloom. With the arrival of spring weather here in Oregon's Willamette Valley, temperatures are getting warmer and warmer, and the amount of sunlight each day now last a little longer. This seasonal change has helped our tulips to grow fast! We have been recording the above & below surface temps. in our garden for 3 months. Great work Sean Marie, Alexis, and Alexandria. Our class uses this data to help make weather predictions in our community during each month of our study – January through June. We have constructed an “X”, “Y” grid system in our school garden so students in our class can monitor their tulip's growth. We also made a large poster of our garden area that shows each student’s tulip location.
