I saw my first Asclepias viridis plant this morning. It was growing right next to an Asclepias asperula plant. It was only a couple of inches tall. From my experiences last year I have found that the Monarch caterpillars have a particular fondness for the viridis plants. They also stayed fresh longer as cuttings than the other varieties that I have used indoors to raise Monarchs.
