"Ice out! The official lake Sarah Ice Out date is April 10, 2009."

"It was a close call - as of 10:30pm on Thursday 4/9/09 a much diminished sheet of ice still remained off the west edge of Klaers farm in the East bay, the wind had pushed it through the narrow mid-lake channel at 5:15pm. The remaining ice melted just before sunrise on Friday morning. The lake is recorded as ice out when the lake is completely free of ice (and remains so for 24 hours)."
