"Tupper Lake's ice-out on Raquette Pond this year was 1:30 p.m. on April 3. The winners of the contest, which was sponsored by LaValley Real Estate and the Tupper Lake Free Press, were Susan Mitchell with first place, Dick Sapone with second and Mona Sapone with third. Last year's was April 18."
