First monarch in Wichita! I saw one yesterday (4/14) in the eastern part of Sedgwick county. It must have been first generation because the wings looked very good. I didn’t get a close view, but I presume it was a female because of the way it was checking out emergent vegetation. We have no milkweed up yet.
