Tulips BLOOMED

Most of our tulips have bloomed while we were on spring break. Today it was 59 degrees and a little windy. We have had some rain so the soil is wet, but the wind has really beat up the plants. A couple of tulips look like they have been cut or maybe eaten. The students were able to identify the important parts of the tulip with ease. Our experimental bulbs are doing well also, some have even bloomed and are now loosing thier petals. Sadly one of the students bulb was stomped on and the bud looks like it has been ripped off. We are starting to think about where would be a better place for both the experimental bulbs and the Journey North garden next year. The students are starting to watch were others walk, weather concerns, and where the tulips are blooming to help decide the best spot for next year. We have also discovered that the netting that we placed over our tulips has blown away and becoming a problem for animals in the area. Today we picked off all the netting and put
