We live seven miles from the small town of Annapolis (4 as crow flies) in a hollow by ourselves. We are one mile up the hollow from the Black River. Our first male showed up about 9 am Saturday morning. Usually the first male will follow my husband around, until he puts up a feeder but this year we had one already up. Sunday we noted that we have at least 3 males feeding at two feeders. My school is 8 miles further up the river at Lesterville where no one had seen hummers yet either (as of Friday). I expect this morning (monday 4/20)to hear my students tell me of arrivals.
