We were so excited to come back from a three-day weekend to find 19 out of 90 bulbs have bloomed. Temperatures this weekend were in the 70's. What beautiful flowers!

It has been interesting to note that none of the tulips planted near a walkway have emerged. After brainstorming several reasons, we concluded that those bulbs may have incurred some damage due to soil compaction. This walkway is a path that many students take when entering and leaving school. We feel that many students don't stay on the walkway and end up walking on top of the planted bulbs.
