We live in rural area outside of Gainesville, Fl located in North Central Florida. We spotted two Bald Eagles this afternoon. They were together in a large field that has some cattle in it. When we first saw the two, one was on the fence and the other was on the ground. They both then flew up to the same branch of a nearby oak tree. It looked as if they had a hold of a snake. One of the Eagles was significantly larger than the other one; which according to what we've read should indicate that the larger was the female and the smaller was possibly a male. We were not able to determine if there was a nest nearby.
