We have a big range in the height and development of our emerging tulips this spring. Some classes are up about 3 inches and are showing reddish-green leaves, while some class plots are just barely showing a tip of growth.
The students suggested that some groups planted deeper than others. They all received the same moisture and sunlight.
We're hopeful that all the tulips bloom before school is out for the summer!
