WOW! Our milkweed has germinated early this year! I saw 7 plants, about a 1/4- 1/2 inch high with leaves in our South facing garden today! I checked my journal from last year and it is about 2 weeks earlier than last year! This is our patch of common milkweed. We also have swamp milkweed which has also germinated! Can't wait to see the monarchs again. My garden club students (grades 2-5) are prepping our butterfly garden at school!
