Last Wednesday, April 22, 2009, I was walking through the garden and spotted the Ascelpias speciosa coming up. Most plants were between 1 1/2 inch to 2 inches tall. We transplanted these to our yard from the country several years ago. Weeds to farmers, food for butterflies to us!!! We do have two other perennial Asclepias in our yard and then we plant an annual Ascelpias each year also.
