Last year a group of butterfly enthusiasts with the guidance of a Master Gardener group planted an extensive butterfly garden at Sycamore Sholes State Park. Today, under an 89* sun, I went down to check the milkweed. The plants were up about 6-8 inches and almost all had eggs.I estimated roughly estimated 100 eggs total. This is a thrilling beginning and hopefully indicates a recovery from last year's lower numbers.
