I saw my first adult yesterday (the 25th) and 4 today all on Mathias Point along the Potomac River near Dahlgren, VA. Temperature 90+ degrees 35% humidity. Light breeze from south. Thrilling to see them. All but one 4-6 feet from ground--one along the ground about 6 inches to 1 foot.Many of my flowers are fading fast due to the extreme early heat--two more days of it forecast. No consistent direction for the monarchs observed.
