Bald Eagle

Date: 04/27/2009

Number: 1

This morning I saw 3 rare Golden Eagles flying low over our house. At first I thought they were Black Turkey Vultures, but with my binoculars, I could see they did not have the red heads but a full black feathered head. In all the years that I have kept a log of the birds and animals seen in our back yard, this was the first time I saw Golden Eagles. Yesterday we also saw a flock of over a 100 CEDAR WAXWINGS in our neighbors mountain ash tree. We seldom see these birds here until yesterday. Also the White throated and white crowned sparrows have stopped in to visit us. They stay for a week and then they head north.
