I was shocked to see my first Monarch this year, it was quite early to spot one. At least for my area, I did notice however that there has been others nearby who have spotted them as well.
Looked to be very healthy, with no apparent damage to it's wings. Sunday was a very bright sunny day with temps in the upper 80's. So maybe this has something to do with their earlier than normal arrival here. I also spotted a Ruby-throat the same day.
