Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/14/2009

Number: 1

We returned from spring break expecting to see blossoms on the tulips, but it took a couple more days of unseasonably warm weather to coax the blossoms to open. Now, our garden is full of tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, and crocus that are shouting to us at every window, "Happy Spring!" Our tulips from previous years in the project fill the other gardens, but the original garden of tulips from seven years ago only has a couple of plants that are still offering blossoms. That will likely be the planting spot for next year's crop of Red Emperors. Happy growing to you all from the fifth graders at Van Meter Elementary School in Van Meter, Iowa!
