April 30, 2008. That was the first sighting of an oriole last year. Today is April 30, 2009. I was out on the patio moving pots, sweeping up from the storm last night, when I heard the plaintive call of AN ORIOLE!! I knew today was the day it was due, so I was, once again, amazed at the promptness of this beautiful bird. There were oranges in place, but they got rained on last night. I quickly replaced them with fresh halves and down came the male to feast on our offering. Love those orioles! Barbara
