We were already prepared for the first Ruby-Throat. Our nectar feeder had been up about 4 days when we noticed the first visitor. My husband and I were sitting on the open deck when I saw the male Ruby-Throat come zipping in to feed. He seemed quite tame, as we were sitting very close to the feeder and he paid no attention to us. What a thrill! Hopefully, he and his mate will plan on making Ovilla their summer home.
